Japanese IT Group Hosts Career Event

A seminar for Japanese government scholarship recipients was held at the Consulate General of Japan in Seattle on March 22. Mathew Topping, who received the research scholarship for his study at Ryukyu University in Okinawa, and three members of Amanogawa, an alumni association of the scholarship recipients, for Japanese international students joined the meeting to share information about Japan’s college life. The seminar was also open for those who may consider applying to the scholarship in the future. Two local students joined the seminar and asked questions about the scholarship.

日本への国費留学生へ向けたオリエンテーションが3月22 日、在シアトル日本国総領事館で行われた。琉球大学への留学を控えたマシュー・トッピングさんが参加、国費留学生同窓会「天の川」のメンバーや日本人留学生らも出席し、日本で有意義な留学を過ごすためのアドバイスが行われた。来年の奨学金申請を考えている学生も参加し、活発な質疑応答が行われた。
