Bellevue College to Rededicate (on May 14th) ‘Never Again is Now Mural.’ The mural was defaced in 2020 -editing out references to anti-Japanese American agitation by Eastside businessmen.

WHAT: Bellevue College, on May 14, 2026, will hold a rededication ceremony to add the mural by artist and activist Erin Shigaki as a permanent artwork.

Date: May 14th, 2026

Time: 2 p.m.

Place: Bellevue College -Fountain Courtyard (near C and D Buildings), 3000 Landerholm Circle SE, Bellevue, WA 98007

Speakers: Artist and activist Erin Shigaki, Bellevue College President David May, and Stan Shikuma with Japanese American Citizens League and Tsuru for Solidarity

Parking: Lot 14 visitor parking and Lot 13 for overflow
