Sogetsu School Ikebana Seattle Branch held its annual spring flower arrangement exhibit at Seattle Asian Art Museum (SAAM) on May 28 and 29. Visitors enjoyed seeing live demonstrations and dozens of works of art designed by the school’s members. Megumi Schacher said that ikebana can help people touch nature and gain new energy, especially after leading busy daily lives. The local ikebana groups held their seasonal exhibitions this month including Ikebana International Seattle Chapter 19 on May 14 and 15 at SAAM.
