Seattle Kenjinkai Group to Gather

The second annual Kenjin Kai Day will be held on Oct. 2 at the Japanese Cultural & Community Center of Washington.

In reference to ken as prefecture, jin as person and kai as group, the local kenjinkai groups will host information booths and display their unique products, industries and specialties from their prefectures in the event.

There are 16 groups representing the prefectures or regions in Japan including Hokkaido, Fukushima, Chiba, Yamanashi, Shizuoka, Shiga, Kyoto, Kobe, Wakayama, Okayama, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Kagoshima and Okinawa.
