Renowned Nikkei Violinist to Perform for Methodist Church Campaign

Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church in Beacon Hill will feature wor ld- renowned viol inist Maya Iwabuchi on April 23.

Japan-born Iwabuchi is a violinist and leader of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and a faculty member at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. A daughter of Rev. Hiroyasu Iwabuchi, the violinist moved the United States in her youth, studied music and has performed with various orchestras including the Philharmonia Orchestra of London as the concertmaster.

Iwabuchi will perform with pianist Jennifer Choe, who has frequently played with Seattle Symphony members.

The concert will start at 4 p.m. at the church. A good-will offering is recommended to support the church building capital campaign project. More information can be found at (206) 723- 1536.
