The NVC Foundation hosted its Third Annual Luau Fundraiser on Sept. 10 at the Renton Pavilion Events Center. About 350 people gathered to help honor the legacy of the Nisei generation by raising funds to continue the work of the Foundation. A sneak preview of the Seattle Channel produced film, “An American Hero: Frank Nishimura” was shown as an example of the many educational projects the NVCF is involved in. The night included a meal of a Hawaiian style menu, a Silent Auction, Dessert Dash, Live Auction and a Raffle drawing.
