Foreign tourism will continue to be banned in Japan this spring. According to the Apr 2 “New York Times,” the country must first get its current COVID wave under control. Next, present elected officials will likely wait to act until after July elections. This will also allow them to monitor how re-openings fare elsewhere in East Asia.
