Emiko Mizuki, Executive Director, Kawabe House

Emiko Mizuki was hired as the new executive director at Kawabe Memorial House on Sept. 21. In her new position, Mizuki is leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the affordable housing nonprofit on 18th Ave South between Washington and Main. She will also provide strategic insight and leadership to the Kawabe House board to ensure the organization’s sustainability into the future.

Mizuki, a Sansei alumnus of Cleveland High and UW, comes to Kawabe House as an experienced professional who has directed and managed other community healthcare programs. She managed the Assisted Living and Adult Family Home Programs at Kin On and was the Administrator and Director of Senior Services at Legacy House, an assisted-living facility.
