Hiroshima Club Gathers for New Year

Seattle Hiroshima Club held its annual New Year’s party on Jan. 23 at Joy Palace Restaurant in Seattle gathering about 100 members and community representatives. After the club’s annual meeting led by president Fumiko Gloves, the party began with remarks by community representatives including Consul Kimiaki Watanabe from the Consulate General of Japan in Seattle. The attendees also enjoyed their luncheon and various entertainment.

シアトル広島県人会による新年会が1月23日、シアトル市内Joy Palaceレストランで開かれた。会員や家族関係者、他の県人会や在シアトル日本国総領事館関係者など約100人が集まり親睦を 深め合った。会に先立ち年次総会が会長のフミコ・グローブズ氏によって行われた後、乾杯、渡部 公明領事らコミュニティー代表者のあいさつ、昼食の後はカラオケ大会やビンゴ、ラッフルなども 行われ、会場は大いに盛り上がった。          (写真=遠藤 美波)
