Liberation Obon

Come be a part of the first ever Liberation Obon at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma – a celebration of ancestors and resilience to end immigrant detention!
Join La Resistencia and Tsuru to show your solidarity with those inside who are protesting their wrongful imprisonment.
Bring the entire family!
Activities will include:
– Traditional circle and street folk dancing
– Children’s art making
– Giant Daruma!
– Community food trucks
– Healing ceremonies
– Speakers from inside NWDC
