Kodomo No Hi (Japanese Children’s Day Festival)

The spirit of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics is coming to this year’s Kodomo no Hi. Children can go for gold with Tokyo-inspired activities like flying origami koinobori “koi” competition, or by fishing for famous Tokyo landmarks like the Tokyo Tower and famed Hachiko dog statue! Other activities, performances and demonstrations include taiko drumming, martial arts, big kamishibai (storytelling), water yoyo fishing, a scavenger hunt, a LaQ building contest, and classical Japanese dance! Japanese-style food vendors will also be available.The event is free and open to the public.
