EcoSangha Seminar

$25The Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Temple is hosting an EcoSangha seminar featuring Dr. Duncan Ryuken Williams, Dr. Jason Wirth, Reverend Donald Castro and the Northwest Dharma Association’s George Draffan.
Attendees will spend the day listening to lectures, taking part in discussions and learning about the future of EcoSangha in the Buddhist community. For more information on the event and for registration information please check the Seattle Betsuin’s website.
Speakers:
Dr. Duncan Ryuken Williams – Author of “American Sutra: The Story of Faith and Freedom in the Second World War”, will be sharing his talk titled “Satoyama: A Japanese and Buddhist Lens to Environmental Concerns”
Dr. Jason Wirth – A Buddhist and world philosophy professor at Seattle University, will speak on the rise of EcoSanghas
Reverend Donald Castro – A Buddhist minister in the Jodo Shinshu tradition and founder of the EcoSangha group, will be sharing on the History, Vision and Hope for the future of EcoSangha
At the end of the day, George Draffan will facilitate a panel with our lively speakers and a group discussion with our attendees.
