Keiko’s Journey Book Reading Drama event was held at NVC Memorial Hall on July 30, gathering over 100 attendees to share an extraordinary experience by local Sansei and entrepreneur Kay Hirai of Studio 904.

Hirai was joined by five other members to perform as characters from her book, “Keiko’s Journey,” which was published last year to describe her experience in Japan and the United States during and post-World War II periods.

“It was a fantastic performance,” said Hirai, who hopes to continue the performance in future occasions to share her experiences with the local community.
