JAL to Host Golf Tournmanet in 1965

Japan Airlines will host the Third Ticker Tape World Golf Competition on July 9 at Sand Point Golf and Country Club.

This golf event will be a regional tournament, where the JAL branch offices are located around the world. The lowest net players’ scores will be compared after all scores are collected by the ticker tape. The world championwinner will receive the Matsuo Trophy.

The first two winners from this region are Yoshito Harada of CT Takahashi Company and local lawyer William Minbu, but they were not able tocould not win the world title.

The Sand Point golf course is compact but has a strong undulation and sand traps. Over 100 participants including Japanese players will be required their top skills to compete in the difficult course.

The post-tournament reception will include dinner and a cocktail hour and the award presentation at the club house.
