SUMMARY:Wing Luke Museum's Lunar New Year
DESCRIPTION:The Wing Luke Museum ushers in the Year of the Fire Horse\, hosting its annual community Lunar New Year celebration on Jan. 31\, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The family-friendly community event\, held on King Street\, features a free outdoor Lion Dance and blessing ceremony performed by Mak Fai Kung Fu Dragon and Lion Dance Association. KING-TV’s Brady Wakayama will emcee the event and KEXP’s “Eastern Echoes” DJ\, Diana Ratsamee will spin music. \nIn the Lunar New Year tradition\, the Fire Horse cycle occurs once every 60 years\, bringing a unique feel to the event. \nThe traditional Lion Dance and blessing are no cost to the community\, while general admission prices apply for Museum access and Lunar New Year activities inside. To promote a positive\, stress-free experience for guests\, timed ticketing ensures guests can enter the Museum at designated times without waiting in long lines. More information about the Lunar New Year Family Fair is available here. Games and craft activities are reserved for ages 12 and under. Guests will also get a first look at the new KidPlace 2026 New Years All Year Round exhibit. General admission prices apply. Activities begin when the Museum opens at 11 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. The Museum closes at 5 p.m.
