SUMMARY:Japanese American Day of Remembrance
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 7th Annual Japanese American Day of Remembrance. This event will open with a resource fair to commemorate the eviction of Tacoma’s Japanese Americans and place this event within a larger context. \nEducators will learn more about the various sites\, events\, organizations\, and people in western Washington who are teaching the public about Japanese American history. Clock hours will be available for K-12 teachers from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Artists Yoshi Nakagawa and Yuka Petz will facilitate an interactive printing activity.
