Virtual Bunka no Hi (Week 5)
November 29, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
Free
Bunka no Hi is going virtual this year! Bunka no Hi, or Japanese Culture Festival, is a free cultural festival dedicated to celebrating, commemorating, and educating the public about Japanese and Japanese American Culture in the Seattle area. We hope you can join us from the safety of your home at our “Virtual Bunka no Hi”, which will include a new video every Sunday at noon (PST) during the month of November. The new cultural videos will be available on the JCCCW’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/JCCCWA/videos).
On November 29th, we’ll publish a video “What’s Mochi?” As the end of the year approaches, join us to learn more about mochi, a traditional Japanese rice cake and its cultural significance. The video explores mochi pounding (mochitsuki), different mochi types, how to enjoy eating it and will feature regional New Year’s mochi soup (ozoni)!
We encourage you to invite your friends and family from across the country and around the world! The event is FREE to join!
