Maple Festival | 紅葉狩り(Momijigari)

Momijigari (紅葉狩り) – the beloved tradition of appreciating nature’s art is happening at the Seattle Japanese Garden, Thursday Oct 3 – Sunday, October 13. Each day brings out more colors to the Seattle Japanese Garden during this time of year creating a breathtaking view.
Self-guided Maple Tour Brochures, Maple Scavenger Hunt & Maple Leaf Origami are available (11am-1pm) everyday with other special cultural experiences waiting for you on weekends during the festival.

SAT OCT 5
11:15am | 12pm Seattle Kokon Taiko
1:15pm Naginata demonstration by Pacific NW Naginata Federation
SUN OCT 6
1pm | 1:30pm “Kaguyahime (かぐや姫) | The Moon Princess” Kamishibai theater by Aleks and Ariko
1pm-4pm Tea Ceremony Presentation by Chaboshu
SAT OCT 12
11:15am | 12pm Kaze Daiko
1pm Kids Illustration Workshop by Liz Wong
1pm-4pm Tea Ceremony Presentation by Tankokai Urasenke

* Open hours on Monday 10/7 is 12pm-5pm
* Admission to the garden ends 30 minutes prior to the closing time at 4:30pm
* On weekends, please plan to arrive at least one hour prior to the closing time
