Kodomo no Hi, or “Children’s Day,” is a fun and exciting opportunity to explore children’s culture in Japan. Hosted by the JCCCW, this free-to-attend annual festival connects children and families in the community, in a shared multicultural experience. Japanese and Japanese American culture, art, history, music and more are waiting for you at this community celebration for children’s health and wellness!

The theme of this year’s event is the four seasons — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter! Join us for a journey through a year of life and culture! Learn about seasonal celebrations like Hinamatsuri and Tanabata, and enjoy fun cultural activities like radio taiso (exercise) and spinning top-making! With exciting martial arts demonstrations, live music performances, and even a children’s yukata fashion show, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at 2023’s Kodomo no Hi!

内容：「Kodomo no Hi （こどもの日）」は、ワシントン州日本文化会館が日本の祝日である「こどもの日」に合わせて開催しているイベントです。毎年日本や日系の文化を紹介していますが、今年は「四季を日本文化で楽しもう！」をテーマに折々の行事や遊びを体験できるコーナーを企画しています。例えば、ひな祭り、七夕、ラジオ体操、こまづくりなど。さらに、太鼓や琴の演奏、武道や茶道の実演、紙芝居、ラジオ体操、子供の浴衣ファッションショー、食品販売など盛りだくさんな内容が予定されています。入場無料でどなたでもご来場になれます。
