Film Screening: Fujitaro Kubota and his Garden
January 29, 2020 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 pm

Fujitaro Kubota came to the United States in 1907. He settled in Seattle and founded a landscaping business based on principles of Japanese gardening while using many local plants. Kubota Garden began as a place to showcase Fujitaro’s work for future clients, but grew into a community gathering place. This documentary focuses on the early days of the garden through 1986, when it was purchased by the City of Seattle. Free with reservation: https://kubotasgarden.bpt.me/
